I have my own set of core values that are reflective of both how I live and how I work.
My vision is that every business leader is committed to creating a workplace culture where employees are engaged and able to do their very best work. Leaders will have an understanding that a focus on people over profits brings healthier profits while respecting humans.
My vision is achieved by supporting business leaders to reimagine their culture, coach their leaders, and make their company an awesome place to work.
I’ve spent 30+ years in the Human Resources profession. I started in an entry level role and rose to sit at the Executive table. I’ve worked in some amazing companies where employees were empowered, engaged, talented yet humble. I’ve worked in some horrible cultures where leadership had no interest in employees.
I’ve had the privilege of building the HR foundations for a start-up – understanding the owners vision for the culture of the company, then creating everything necessary to bring that culture to life.
I’ve also seen how a leader who is focused on profits instead of people can systematically dismantle a culture, and the impact it has on people and results.
I’ve become curious to understand why employees are leaving jobs, and what companies can do to keep them. I have the experience, understanding, and desire to help as many small to mid-sized companies as I can to overcome the challenges employers now face and turn your culture into a place top performing employees want to be. I've also developed a very effective system to help employees seeking a job or career change to explore possibilities and find a happier and healthier place to work.
My pronouns are She/Her/Hers. I’m a single mom of two amazing adult children, Kyle and Sarah. I also have a bonus kid, Devon, currently serving in the US Air Force. I’m so proud of my kids and who they’ve grown into as young adults. If we work together, you’re likely to hear me gushing about them from time to time.
I share my home office with my rescue Mutt, Frankie. If we work together, you’ll definitely get to know Frankie as she is usually sleeping on her bed in the background.
I live near Seattle, 15 minutes from my son and his fiancé which makes me very happy. But my location is irrelevant for our working together. Our work will be done through phone calls and zooms (which also helps budgets!). Let’s work together to understand your employees and create a culture where they can truly do their best work.
